350 Bike Rally in Bicentennial Park!

Saturday, Oct 24th: Join 1Sky, Repower America, and Emerge Miami’s Critical Mass for a global day of action on climate change!

What: A bike rally to urge Florida senators to act on the climate bill! Part of 4,000 rallies happening worldwide- for the largest social movement to ever take place in a single day in history!

When and Where: 1 pm today at Bicentennial Park where Ocean Watch, a group of researchers sailing around the world, will educate us about effects of climate change they have observed. Hosted by the University of Miami.

Once at the event:

Please be sure to visit the 1Sky/ Repower America table to call senators on the spot and to sign the petition and tell your senators you want to see them pass a strong climate and energy bill!

At 2 PM, join into the large human photo opp by the drum circle at Bicentennial Park, in which we will arrange ourselves into a formation of the number “350” –the number that citizens worldwide will be publicizing on this day- to tell our leaders we need to reduce our greenhouse gases to 350 carbon parts per million.

What to bring: your bike, a drum if you have one, sunscreen, water, and a smile!

Hope to see you there!
